Introducing Gaia — Mr Jago’s First-Ever Etching

We are delighted to present Gaia, a landmark new work by Mr Jago and his first-ever etching.

For collectors of Mr Jago’s work, Gaia represents a particularly compelling addition to his print catalogue. His distinctive combination of gestural mark-making, intense colour and layered abstraction is translated into the etching medium for the first time, resulting in a work that feels both unmistakably Mr Jago and entirely new.

Gaia is available in three etching colourways — Red, Green and Blue — with each colourway produced in an edition of just 12.

Importantly, each print is individually hand-finished by Mr Jago, meaning that no two works are exactly alike. While each belongs to the same limited edition, the hand-finishing gives every print its own character and makes each one a unique work in its own right.

The significance of Gaia extends beyond the finished image. As the first etching in Mr Jago’s practice, it marks the beginning of a new chapter in his approach to printmaking. For collectors, this makes the work especially significant: it is not simply a new edition, but a piece that marks a key development in the artist’s career.

With only 12 works available in each colourway, and every print individually hand-finished, Gaia is exceptionally limited.
